Coolest thing you've heard someone say about your MINI?
^^
lmao There needs to be a way, that's just too great.
I haven't gotten too many comments from adults lately, it usually seems to be younger kids. I was pulling out of the drive through somewhere and a small boy and his family when he points at my car and says "Mommy look at the clown car!". I was laughing to hard to be offended at all.

I was sitting in the MINI waiting for my youngest daughter to get out of school. All of the kindergarteners were getting out first. A little 5 year-old boy and is mom were passing in front of Mo' and I could tell he was talking to her about the MINI coz he couldn't take his eyes off of it. They stopped and walked up to my window and he asked if he could look at my 'zost (exhaust). His mom rolled her eyes and said that he's crazy about cars. After he was through checking out my 'zost he came back to the window and asked "You got nawz?" I damn near died laughing and giggled all the way home. Little kids say the darndest things.
I picked it up at a store called the Mast General Store.
Its made in Canada, I'll PM the manufacturer info to you later today.
Thank you. I guess that explains the signature. Sorry to hear that - I don't frequent NAM like I used to
Not surprising, but this is nice: (although speaks of cabrios/convertibles only...)

So I live on the West side of Houston. In the midst of all the chaos after Ike, on Monday to satisfy Uncle Sam, I have to drive 45 minutes to another town further out West called Rosenberg to do some banking. All the local branches are closed due to no power.
I'm behind this black Jeep Grand Cherokee buzzing along on some twisty back roads following the bizarre path that the Garmin has me on and we come up on a light which is out (almost all of them are / no power). There's quite a few cars already waiting and it takes a minute or so to get near the intersection. When the Jeep gets to the front and next to go, the driver's side door opens and this elderly lady gets out and starts walking towards my car. At first I'm thinking did I pull some jack@#$ move and **** her off. So I roll down the window, and in this thich Texas drawl she says "I just love the colors on these cars", turns around and gets back in her car and drives off.
"Ray" is a laser blue, black top and 'C' pillar Clubman with black bonnet stripes.

Our neighbor, an accomplished cellist, asked my wife, a strings teacher and orchestra director, how many cellos she could carry in our MCSc. Her response was that she didn't know for sure but that she had carried a 3/4 bass recently with no troubles. He gave her a thumbs up and proclaimed it "a nice little car".

Feel free to pass this on to your neighbor :-)
I was doing a track weekend at Gingerman last September right after I got a lot of suspension work done at Detroit Tuned. The first session Sunday morning I was just on FIRE! I had never felt that good behind the wheel.
Back in the paddocks I had the bonnet open cooling off. I was sitting under the canopy about 30 feet away and I saw a guy make a beeline for my car and start looking under the hood with a puzzled look on his face. I walked over and said hi and he said "What do you have in this thing? You passed me and ran away! That thing has no body roll or nothing!" He was driving a prepped Mustang with race tires and everything.
I told him I was just having a good day and he said "Well you either have a hell of a motor or you're one hell of a driver!"
That made my weekend because I still feel like a novice and it's cool to get positive feedback.

The funniest thing I heard was a guy asked if I felt like Mr. Incredible in my MINI, referring to the movie The Incredibles. Now I just laugh when I see the scene of Mr. Incredible driving in the tiny car.
I'd love that too! What an awesome idea!
Just today, riding with my top down, a delivery van pulled along side of me at a red light. She rolled down her window and said, "I bet she's fun to drive". I agreed, then she said how she liked the Union Jack Mirror covers. I told her if she looked really close the valve stems were the Union Jack as well. She laughed and then said she doesn't usually stop people to talk about their cars and that she was happily married and promised she wasn't hitting on me. LOL
Ok this wasn't something anyone else said but I totally got busted walking to my car and saying aloud "OMG my car is so awesome!" Then realized some guy was walking behind me. *blushing* I am such a dork, he just smiled as I turned red!
