Any more Surprises?

So I come home from a long day at work, a very bad day at work . I am ticked off, grumpy, and generally speaking, not to happy of a mode! I am dumping my keys and what not off at the desk and there is a package sitting there. I black box from MINI.

So I open up this surprise to find my MINI Adventure Field Kit, complete with window stickers of various words and slogans, A mouse pad, notebook and pen (which so good becasue somebody at work stole my MINI pen out of its case from my desk), some literature on the idiosyncrasies of the MINI, a good motoring guide, a super secret decoders and window decryptor, 3D glasses, and a yellow smily face antenea ball Suddenly the day was not so bad

Aw man! I never got those cool things...!!

You mean, you were grumpy and drove all the way home in the MINI - and were STILL grumpy!?!? Whew. Need to have a talk with your MINI!! Grumpiness is supposed to go AWAY once you get on the road...

Oooh, it's like MINI sensed you needed a pick me up! Sounds like a neat little package to get. I want one

Ah yes, the field kit! I've tallied up 3 kits so far from my single Mini purchase!

I am really curious about the 3d glasses, the decrypter and the secret decoder. They said to looked for dashed line and line up the decoder for secret messages...LOL Windows stickers look neat too!

After buying our MINIs, it seemed like we couldn't go two weeks without getting *something* in the mail from either the dealership or MINI USA. For each car, there was the *huge* gift basket from the dealer, then the "Welcome to the Neighborhood" kit from MINI, then our medallions from the "MINI Confidential" promo, then the little plastic overlays for the toggle switches with things like "smoke screen" and "oil slick" on them. I'm sure there was more, but I can't remember all of it right now.

And I've asked one of the vinyl graphic vendors to make the cool toggle switch overlays.... He's working on it!

I don't mind at all - Trying to spread the word! Fred is a very friendly guy - and a MINI owner, of course. Also a NAMer. Here's the website - he hasn't put the cool roof graphic on the site, nor the blank toggle decals yet, but soon! I just gave him a list of cool ones.

I love the kill flag car silhouettes!

I used to paint them on my International Scout, but only for vehicles that I actually made contact with.

By them time I got rid of the truck I had three cars and a shopping cart on the door! The cars hit me but I was at fault in the shopping cart incident.

Poor little shopping cart...

If I bought my car used from a non-mini dealership but registered my car on the MINIUSA website, would I still receive anything from them?

I received the same kit...great stuff. As a Director of Marketing I can honestly say Mini gets an A+.

As for the toggle switch cover, click this link (http://minispygear.com/#).

Just under the center square that says GAGS, GAGS, GAGS, you will see a box labeled "Mini Cloaking Device", click that. You need your VIN# and they will send it to you, I got mine last week.

Thanks for the link JerseyJay. I just ordered the toggle swiitch cover.

I'd gotten the adventure kit with a month-and-a-half of motoring my MINI off the lot. Had some cool goodies in it like a pen, field guide to motoring, word game, journal, and a top secret envelop the contents of which I am not at liberty to say.

Cool, I wonder if it will work on the R56 as well...

This is an awesome idea! Except for some reason, this site and MINIUSA aren't recognizing my VIN!!!! I'm going to have to double check it all again - this is slightly worrisome....

My VIN is for an R56 (2007) and the order on MINIspygear.com went right through.

Mine went through as well, but the depiction on the MINI site is that of the old toggle array, so I just hope they have two models which they send out depending on the VIN #.

Here's hoping you're right. If not, we can always send them to any 1st Gen owners who'd like them.

I've checked my documents (the ones I have on hand) and none of the VINs work! I'll have to check the actual VIN on the car just to be doubly sure, but...this really IS disturbing! I have an R56 '07 also...hm...

Greetings x uh oh x

I got my VIN off the sticker. Also, I've registered on the MINIUSA.com site, owners' lounge, etc., where I'm sure I had to have put in my VIN somewhere. It's so odd that your VIN is not taking. Will keep fingers crossed your VIN snafu clears up soonest.
