Wdaleh we are all glad that it all worked out for the best for you.
I do agree with you about being a mistake of the owner to assume that.
He explained that the policy came about as a result of the owner's trip to Germany to pick up BMW, whereupon he received only a 1/4 tank of gas. He decided what was good for him was good for us. Applying the cultural norms of Germany to American consumers is a mistake in my opinion.
