Women who drive MINIs
that stinks! my husband is lucky that i am totally in love with my mini and i like modding cars. i know someone here had asked him how he convinces me to allow him to spend the money to mod his car...his response was....im lucky my wife just wants to mod her mini too.
I performed my first mod today! So do I get added to the list?
... If you knew what it was you might not think it counts. A VERY VERY nice coworker gave me a car-warming present. I now have official MINI valve seal caps!

Custom. They were Rota Subzero's.
And it's not too bad, I'm much happier with Miata and it's already well over 200 to the rear wheels.
Once I hit the ceiling with the current turbo, I'll upgrade, build the motor a little and get it near or over 300 rwhp. Well, if I can keep it that long. I usually don't keep cars more than two years. I think the Lotus will come next. Modding that will be a little more expensive though, I need to be sure I'm ready for that kind of commitment.

Glad to hear you are happy with the Miata, nice to be back in rear wheel drive huh?
I hear you about the car changing, we have been bad over the last few years trying different vehicles, it's an addiction I tell ya
Thing is, I am done with modding any functionality, I have vowed that Mini service is going to be the last ones to make me miserable because of mods, only cosmetic or 'lite' mods for me from now on. I don't mean to put fellow lady modders in this thread off, I've really enjoyed customizing cars over the years, but I am simply over having dealer service use mods as a scapegoat for any issue.Anyways, hi to Jenn B from another old timer

haha mine will eventually get to that point too but for the time being he's happy that with every mod one of us does, the other one gets one too.
haha i think thats cute! yes you count too
eventually you might get into changing other things when you see all the possibilities. even if all you do is cosmetic stuff its still doing something!
Hi there, eVal!
I never had a problem with service with my mods. All of my MINI service visits were for stupid stuff like door handles and air bags.
And we have two Miata's. Love them both.

Do you have any photos of the custom blue wheels on the Miata? I would love to see them!
Thanks, Sailorliz23! Even though I am scientifically-inclined, all that engine stuff just isn't my thing. I am also artistically-inclined, too (I'm a lab analyst by day and an apparel design student by night). The cosmetic stuff is where I can see myself getting into trouble.

well thats great! that means you can make your mini look super adorable! im into both as is my husband so im pretty lucky. otherwise i would have a guy like the one that posted here previously saying "oh cosmetic stuff isnt a mod" lol (im kidding i know what he meant).
hey where in miami are you??
Hi Ladies,
I see I'm in great company! It's awesome to see so many of you that LOVE to mod your car!
I've worked on everything from vintage Mustangs to newer Acura Integras. I'm currently waiting on my car to arrive. I'm welcoming the challenge on tuning and playing with my new baby and posting the experiences on here. I figure in the meantime I can do my research...and start saving money for parts. It is an addiction, is it not?
