Maybe it's 'cuz my wife drives a MINI too, but I think female MINI (or Mini) drivers tend to be sort of, well, HOT!

She won't let me mod it tho, unless you count detailing it as a mod.

My Mini will remain stock, but I do admire women who have the knowledge and know how to do mods.

God Luck Ladies!! And who knows may the MEN will be asking you for advice.

I performed my first mod today! So do I get added to the list?

... If you knew what it was you might not think it counts. A VERY VERY nice coworker gave me a car-warming present. I now have official MINI valve seal caps!

Custom. They were Rota Subzero's.

And it's not too bad, I'm much happier with Miata and it's already well over 200 to the rear wheels.

Once I hit the ceiling with the current turbo, I'll upgrade, build the motor a little and get it near or over 300 rwhp. Well, if I can keep it that long. I usually don't keep cars more than two years. I think the Lotus will come next. Modding that will be a little more expensive though, I need to be sure I'm ready for that kind of commitment.

Hey, I remember you Glad to hear you are happy with the Miata, nice to be back in rear wheel drive huh?

I hear you about the car changing, we have been bad over the last few years trying different vehicles, it's an addiction I tell ya Thing is, I am done with modding any functionality, I have vowed that Mini service is going to be the last ones to make me miserable because of mods, only cosmetic or 'lite' mods for me from now on. I don't mean to put fellow lady modders in this thread off, I've really enjoyed customizing cars over the years, but I am simply over having dealer service use mods as a scapegoat for any issue.

Anyways, hi to Jenn B from another old timer

Hi there, eVal!

I never had a problem with service with my mods. All of my MINI service visits were for stupid stuff like door handles and air bags.

And we have two Miata's. Love them both.

Sold it. The wheels are in my garage with the rest of our collection. They were on the Miata for a while and now I have some custom blue wheels but may be switching to SSR's.

Do you have any photos of the custom blue wheels on the Miata? I would love to see them!

Thanks, Sailorliz23! Even though I am scientifically-inclined, all that engine stuff just isn't my thing. I am also artistically-inclined, too (I'm a lab analyst by day and an apparel design student by night). The cosmetic stuff is where I can see myself getting into trouble.

Hi Ladies,

I see I'm in great company! It's awesome to see so many of you that LOVE to mod your car!

I've worked on everything from vintage Mustangs to newer Acura Integras. I'm currently waiting on my car to arrive. I'm welcoming the challenge on tuning and playing with my new baby and posting the experiences on here. I figure in the meantime I can do my research...and start saving money for parts. It is an addiction, is it not?
