i got some. they are all right. little bit hangs off on the 18" one due to the curve of the windscreen but other than that no problems yet. haven't had a real good heavy rain to test them out either.

I have PIAA silicone and they are like rain-xing you windshield every time they wipe. I love them, one of the best purchases I have made for the car.

the piaa's are awesome...i have a set on my pick up and work amazing everytime for a very long time...i haven't gotten around to puttin a set on the mini yet cuz i'm still getting free wiper inserts from the dealer and they seem to hold up ok...so long as you take care of them. But if you are looking for a new set of wiper blades and you know better than to buy a set at wal-mart for 10 dollars each then i would definitely consider the piaa's. Seems like the rain-x's aren't getting that good of a review so far

The PIAA's are not priced bad either, at $20 and $22, I'll have to look into getting some, mine are starting to squeak, thanks! Any comparison to the Bosch Icon's?

I'll give it some time. I've replaced the wipers on my cars at the same time with different wipers. The Mini got PIAAs, my Crossfire got the Bosch Icons, my Armada has the Rain-X, and the Beetle is getting the other Rain-X wipers.
I'll see how well they compare.

I got a set of PIAAs for I think like $35 at Outmotoring.com.

I had the Latitudes but just changed them out for the PIAAs. Huge improvement.

I had the Valeos, they work well but that hideous large hump where the arm connects leaves an aero streak on the windshield at speed. They don't ice up, though, which is good. I changed 'em out for the Michelin versions, which work well on the drivers side. Both wouldn't conform to the extreme curve on the passenger side. Both are those "one piece" type of aero wipers.

While I like RainX, I've fallen in love with PPG's version, called either "Glass Treatment" or "Aquapel", shown below. It lasts longer (many months), is easier to apply, and doesn't leave streaks. (yes, I know hahnsie was talking about the wiper blades and I'm talking about the glass treatment, but the desired outcome - rain removal - is the same).

Awhile ago, quite some time ago infact, I bought a slew of OEM wiper inserts from Baron MINI in KC. They cut me a deal, the facts of which I have since forgoten. Anyway, I've never had any other wipers on the car and won't untill the remainder of my stockpile is exhausted. The PIAAs sound nice, are they a conventional style wiper? I do not want that new style like what Hondas come with.

I will have to agree with DixonL2. I use Aquapel and it lasts for AGES!

I have them, I actually really like them. I do notice as mentioned above the ends don't completely sit on the windshield, however you don't notice it when they wipe. When in use they will make complete contact at about an inch above where they normally rest. I had just bought some Bosch wipers, and they sucked ***, they left a horrible black gummy substance after a couple of uses and after about two months, they needed to be thrown away.

The Rain-X ones are the best ones that I have had on the MINI as of yet. I would buy them again. They leave an extremely clear windshield, and I haven't noticed any problems with streaking yet. Plus, they look prettier than the ones with a structure to them.

in case anyone wants to know (who doesn't have the PIAA's) they come with a "silicone wipe" package with each blade to apply to the windshield and the rubber blade as well. Its basically the same idea as rain-x and the ppg aquapel. These wipes also leave a nice silicone coating that lasts for quite some time. Mine is still good after over six months, in fact they came in quite handy last night in the snow and ice storm we got up here in NY.

Although I am a big fan of the PIAA's I do have to agree with him in that the Rain-X's do look real nice and clean on any car
