MINI lease buy out

I'm going to buy a friends MINI - it's a 2005 convertible Cooper and I have a copy of the original lease agreement (ends in March, 2008). I'd like to get any suggestions on the best way to proceed. I'd like to get the best price. It's in perfect condition (except for a couple of very minor cosmetic issues (two door dings), two very small (pencil eraser size) wear holes on the convertible top), and a rubber trip piece that is breaking apart around the back side of the top. I'm hoping the last two will be covered under warranty.

I can see the buyout price on the lease - is there any way to get a better price? If I take it back to the original dealer, can I negotiate? Or this pretty much a done deal?

Thanks for any/all input!
