the scratch isn't to bad, it's fixable. Luckily they didn't damage the door to bad. The molding will probably be replaced along with the window. But all in all it's not to bad.

It's the whole experience that sux.

Yeah, these B'stards are after the portable Navs alright. Any evidence of a Nav, even a faint suction cup ring on the windshield, and they'll take the chance that there's a Nav hidden under the seat or in the glove box. Apparently, they're right often enough.

I had my other car's windows broken into because I left a Garmin power cord in the lighter (but the Garmin was at home)..... they didn't take a damn thing but that Garmin power cord and I even had an Escort 8500 sitting on the windshield.

Don't leave *ANY* evidence that you might own a Nav in the car.... power cord, dash mount, suction cup ring on the windshield, etc.

Well, the window is finally done. I'm picking up the check from State Farm in Silver Spring so I can pick up the car tomorrow at Mini of Sterling.

Next things are:
1. get the door checked by a body shop close to me
2. get it re-tinted.
3. Finish re-linking my accounts to my new bank accounts.
4. Install a car alarm.
5. Re-purchase other items stolen (For some reason I wasn't on the homeowners insurance) iPod, Work Bag, Misc. cables, thumb drives etc. So that is all out of pocket, Sux. I'll probably hold off on a new iPod until the iPhone has a larger memory capacity.

So, all that still needs to be done in no specific order.

ughhh. so much stuff to do.
