They say MINIs are nearly impossible to steal without the key. Did the thief somehow get ahold of the key ??

Sincerely sorry to hear about this !

*Gasp!choke** Worst case scenario: It's in a chop-shop...Best case scenario: on it's way to MX or to the Keys....don't know why criminals like to come to the Keys....but they do...there's one road in and the same road goes out....I guess they think no one will look for them down here... Got any pictures? I'll keep an eye out for it... Mick

Shelly,

This sucks, I will keep an eye open up North around Boulder/Louisville.

Any updates from Randy? Pictures of the car from Randy or the owner?

Don

Not to derail, but are they going to Cuba?

Don, that's a good idea about pics. I know Randy doesn't have any but I'm sure the owner would. I don't know ANY MINI owners that don't have pics of their "babies"!!!

I should know because I was a professional auto thief in my previous career ? Actually, I've never worked a stolen vehicle claim in my career at State Farm. We have a designated team that handles stolen vehicles due mainly to the high rate of fraud surrounding these claims.

And like you assumed I know anything more than the average joe about stolen vehicles, I also made an assumption. When he said "Saturday" and not Saturday night, I assumed it was stolen in broad daylight and somebody was around Randy Webb's on Saturday. Hard not to notice a flatbed tow truck wenching a MINI... especially one that stands out like shellbell's.
