I installed an aftermarket exhaust about 3 months ago. And I was wondering what everyone else did with their stock exhausts. I was thinking about selling it on the marketplace, but its hard to find someone that wants to pick it up. Are there any places that buy these parts for scrap metal, or should I just bring it to the junk yard?

 

best bet is metal scrap yard, mine is still in my garage attic until i get the time

 

Do they buy it from you, or thats where you bring to dump it?

If you have the storage space, then keeping it for the future may net you some return if you remove the aftermarket and sell it. Otherwise, just dump it. From what I have seen here and with my local club, you can't give the darned things away.

 

If you ever get a ticket for modified exhasut....it will come handy. Most muffler shops will take it off your hands.

 

There are folks on the boards who'd want it for the "one ball" mod ability, if you were closer I'd take it off your hands (or I'll pick it up when I'm in NJ in Feb...)

 

From the looks of it, I will still have it in February. How far west do you live in PA?
