How much should someone expect to pay to have their windows and sunroof tinted in a Mini? I have never had this done before and would like to have it done once I get a Mini and would like to get an idea on how much this will cost. I live in NC if that makes any difference. Thanks!

 

$180 is what I paid for 2 front 2 rear and back

$140 for just the 2 rear and back.

About right. I paid an extra $50 for the sunroof

 

If you want to come to MD, Carlos at Solar Solutions I believe does a MINI for $125 and $25 for the sunroof.

check around the yellow pages for tint+stereo shops and call and ask how much to do 5 windows, I dont belive they change their rates based on the size of the window. Plus, if you find one that is close to a movie theatre / mall you can walk it over there and catch a movie or some lunch while you wait ~ 2 hrs

make sure you find out what kind of material they use, there is a huge amount of manufactures that make automotive window tints... obviously there will be differences in quality and color. Next, just because the tint has a lifetime warranty, i would make sure you find out exactly what it covers... One place i went to said that pretty much all places have lifetime warranties but it only covers it up to a certain amount in price, and often times it does not cover the whole tint job. Make sure you go to a reputable place that will stand behind their work as things do go wrong on occasion, sometimes its their fault, sometimes its not and thats when you find out the difference between a place that stands behind their work or not.

 

I paid $350 FormulaONE Ceramic, it's the top of the line tint, my friend was quoted $205 3M tint.

 

Try to find someone that has done a mini or BMW with the lowering windows seems to confuse some tint shops a bit
