Looking for a gift idea for a MINI owner
Looking to buy a 2007 MINI Cooper S owner a Xmas gift and am looking for ideas. He loves his new MCS and as far as I can tell, the options missing on his car are the cool stereo, upgraded steering wheel and sun roof. Can you shout out some ideas? He is not a DIY kind of guy. Dude is my 50 y/o bro, btw and this is his first sports car since the late '80s.
Thanks.
Thanks.
While it's a bit of a cop-out.... I'm a BIG fan of speciality gift certificates...
I've received OutMotoring and Griot's Garage certs in the past, and hope I get some again this year! Lots of goodies to be had there, and I get to pick what I want!

There are also a lot of little accessories, such as shirts, jackets, hats, toys, etc. that Mini sells (just received a little brochure with little gift options from MiniUSA) that are available on the website. Other than that, there are car wash and detail items, little things like the glovebox organizer. You might want to browse through the vendors area on this site for ideas.
Have fun shopping!

Set him up with an HPDE in your area, he'll get instruction and a chance to really open up and enjoy the sports function. In addition to beinga safermore confident driver on the street.

*Looks up the calendar* Hmmm this is not April...
If your brother is a tall guy, you can get him:

or a few MINI diecast cars...

How about a gift certificate for Detailers Paradise? Everyone can always use some stuff to keep the MINI clean.

^^ Many on this board reccomend it, if he is into spirited driving. (I have nto used one myself.
There's a ton of MINI clothing acessories out there (perfect for if he goes to any club meets)
And I have an Auxilary input I use just about everyday, jack pulgs into the stereo and I get all the music on my ipod. It was my first mod.

They have some cool stuff at the dealer. If you don't want to make the trip most of the same stuff is here. > http://www.motoringgear.com/Flash/main_ie.asp
I was thinking some really nice detail stuff but if he isnt a DIY type of guy that might not work so well. Outmotoring and some of those places would be good to get some funds for fun stuff.
Hmm, for $50, if I were him and not a DIY type of guy, I'd prob want, for myself that is, a stubby antenna, maybe a Wheelskin steering wheel cover, glove compartment organizer, and/or tire patch/air compressor type of kit.
A good logo t-shirt with a logo hat would fit your budget. At my dealer they don't have a lot of shirts on the shelf, so I deal with the parts manager. There's a whole world of bling options out there.
I'm hinting for a new carved wood gearshift ****, and I found one for $85 shipped, but it's a bit out of your price range.

I second the Detailer's Paradise gift certificate. Or if you're anti-GC (I'm not, but I know people who are, so whatever floats your boat!), they have nice bundles - a Microfiber bundle with a bottle of Hydro would be a nice gift for someone who loves to take care of their MINI!
Or you can call their store and talk to Heather or Nick (both huge supporters of this forum) and they can help you put together a custom bundle to meet your budget.
You can also try browsing MotoringGear.com for authentic MINI-wear. The prices tend to be a little high but the few things I own are nice quality.

Tire guage or key chain
After I got my Mini my wife got me an "S" logo key chain. Great gift and he could use it every day. Also, another great gift is a good tire guage. Keeping the tires properly inflated is important and a nice tire guage is a great tool. If you buy from this place I would also recommend the hard sided case (in a 2006 Mini S it fits nicely behind that jack in the trunk).
