Nice JCW But That's Nuts
Nice MCS, but for almost $50 large, your sports car options are wide open.

I have to admit, I didn't care for reading this thread. Since I ordered a 2008 MCS thats jacked up there in cost -- and no, I wouldn't want a Lotus or M3 over the MCS 'vert that I ordered. I think what I ordered is nicer than the one Prestige has here - each to their own I suppsoe.

Somethings messed up with that listing. The car is listed with:
City 27/Hwy 34 (1.6l Turbocharged Engine/6-speed Auto Trans)
City 29/Hwy 36 (1.6l Turbocharged Engine/6-speed Manual Trans)
Not possible to have both the manual and auto transmission in the car. Somehow the car is entered wrong; doubtful the real price of the car is ACTUALLY that high.

So are telling us that the mazdaspeed3 would be a better buy for the spirited driver than the MCS ?. According to a review I read on Roundel (BMW magazine) the Mazdaspeed is faster but it does not communicate/handle as well as the MCS. I guess I will have to go and test drive one and check it out for myself

I guy I work with has a mazdaspeed 3. We trade rides sometimes and although it is lightning fast there is lots not to like. Long shift throws and a generally muddy transmission. Cheap feeling plastic all over the cockpit. Really unsupportive and unsturdy feeling seats. Looks like a freaking Pontiac Vibe!!! There are only like 3 or 4 colors to choose from which are all pretty unimaginative. goes straight quickly but get it on the twisties and my MCS blows it away. Its not even close in my opinion... mcs is much more exciting to drive! It is a good value though... easily bought for under 20K

Through the slalom, the WRX posted a speed of 63.4 mph, well behind the Mazda's 68.6, a pace that betters that of the BMW 330i, Infiniti G35, and Jaguar XK. Around our figure-eight course, a telling test of handling and braking, the WRX clocked a time of 27.1 sec at 0.64 g average, again no match for the 3's 26.6-second at 0.69g average. Circumnavigating the skidpad, the Mazda held on for 0.86 g of lateral grip--better than that of a Lexus IS 350--
Interesting, but it's still a family looking wagon .
