wasn't this thing also being sold by MINIUSA? I thought it was on the website at one point. I wouldn't blame Moss too much, if they are just selling a MINI part numbered item.

Mini has the same camera in their accessories catalog. Moss is just carrying the entire line of those bits. IIRC thats the Mini MSRP. I'd not get worked up, a lot of he same things found in boutique shops can found at mass merchandisers for less. Besides Moss has never been known as a low cost operator in the Mini parts game. They are no P U, not by a long shot, no one has consistently bad customer service as P U.

 

Contrast this to the portable OEM Nav, which is nothing more than a rebadged Garmin unit, although it does come with a custom MINI-specific mount.

MINIUSA does occasionally take an existing item and market it as a MINI accessory under their name. That was the case with the Nav and it's the case here too.

 

You wouldn't believe what MINI charges for a little blue plastic box of mints that I can get way cheaper at the drug store!

Do they still give out the mints with the cars?

 

Although tough to detect, there is a little sarcasm in my voice...
That said, Moss isn't Mini, and I would hope an enthusiast supplier like Moss would filter out the true ripoff items. I can see Mini trying to market a lifestyle product lineup, but Moss doesn't have to carry that over to their lineup.

 

who's to say they shouldnt carry it over to their lineup? I'm not sure, why you would even post this really.. to me its petty. What is the big deal? So they sell if, if you don't like it... you have a few choices I guess.. 1. don't look at the online ad.. that would be where I would start..
