I'm just imagining Kimberely driving along, waving like the queen in a parade..

I still wave when I can (traffic situations permitting), and get a lot of waves back. Have to wave in a manly way, though, none of this arm-flapping-around-like-a-fish stuff.

Here in AZ, since most everyone has darkly tinted windows and they're rolled up with the A/C going full blast, a lot of waves are just plain missed... Last spring, before temperatures got so hellish, I was giving and getting waves with much more regularity.

I live in a small town in the midwest, and I know of only about three or four other MINIs in this area. We all wave if we see each other. When I go to Indy is about the only time I'm apt to see several others. Sometimes we wave and sometimes were watching other traffic! (usually at 25-35 MPH over the posted limit!) I think I want to motor safely more than I want to wave and be waved upon!

"Hellish"? It was mild this year.

I do agree with several posts above where peeps are just plain old ign'ant about their surroundings. They just look at the brake lights ahead and not everything else.

I'm used to scanning and being very aware of my surroundings, therefore, look around me everyplace and now have a special eye for MINIs!

What gives?!?
I can understand this behavior to some extent when I'm driving my Element (I started a similar thread on www.elementownersclub.com) but not when I'm driving my MINI, which is purple and silver and really hard to miss
I think your prob is living on the Left Coast....you all are worried bout falling off the new edge of the earth. Suggest you move to Florida....we always respond to our Mini-Brother/Sisters as we dodge all the touristas who don't have a clue where they are goin or see a cloud and think its evacuation time. I'm an 07 Owner....Keeping Waving and if you are seeing your shrink bout this pack the Gromit and hit I-10 East...
