Vanity plates

We were talking about this in another thread and I thought it would be an interesting topic.

Do most MINIs get Vanity Plates? Is the percentage higher for MINIs than other cars?

Most of the Porsches in Texas already have them. Lot's of Vettes, too. They both got about a 50 year head start on us . . . Back in the mid-80s when I had my 912, my plate was "A 356 D"

Thanks......one of the problems living in CA with so many Mini's, we went thru about 30 or so choices before finding one liked and not taken. Being in WA you should have a bit btter chance.

Plan on getting one for my MCSa which is scheduled to arrive sometime this month. It's only about 20 bucks a year in PA so I figured why not? In all honesty I probably would have gotten them with any car (this is my first) but with the MINI I feel it's practically essential.

I think that since we tend to think of our MINIs as family, we want to give them their own identity, ya know?

I intend to - once Oregon releases the 'Share the Road' plates... and if they allow customizing them.

2 Coopers have them.
1 MCSC is waiting for his to be issued.

And our 4th vehicle, the outcast Infiniti Q45 does not have them (he's suffering from severe inferiority complex despite weekly sessions with the therapist and the fact that his motor puts out 266 hp).

Got myself a nice set of personalized plates couple of weeks ago encouraging folks to go motoring, with the idea that it'd go on whatever car I might get next. Of course the next thing I did was to order a MINI for the plates.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the % of MINIs having personalized plates was higher than most of the other brands. There's something about MINIs that make you want to personalize 'em....

I'm trying to modify my sig to include things like badges etc. I've search the forums but I must be looking in the wrong place. Two questions, do you use something like photoshop to creat one jpg. 2. How do you get the sig to center below your posts. I know it's off topic, sorry. Thanks

You're only allowed one image in your sig, so you'll need to put it together in something like Photoshop, or take your chances with the output from sig-o-matic. To center your sig text and image use the the edit options for your signature text.

I have had vanity tags on my SUVs (DIVERS) for years, so of course I had to get a set for the MINI (2 DIVE) when he came along. I did not want him to feel deprived.
