hahahah...I love it! I've been trying to find a way to incorporate the S in the way you have used it but haven't had too much luck. I was thinking of "HAULN S" or "S MAN" but just not sure. I may go with a whole new route all together.

I like the "Hauln S"

That's great.

I sent my request in almost as a joke not really expecting to get it.... and true to my expectations, I did not.

The reason for the rejection was it may be "considered in poor taste".

The fact that the gov't (albeit state level) told me that I couldn't have it because it may be considered in poor taste pissed me off.

Wearing white after labor is in poor taste. The gov't can't stop you from doing it so I fought it.

I called the lady at the DMV and here's my story from another post.

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=148343

So far I received the registration, the plate is probably about another week out.

You're quite the fire-starter! I didn't know that they could initially reject a plate only to accept it later. My "MINIAAC" plate was rejected by Ohio for "possibly being derrogatory towards mentally disturbed people." Hm. I didn't fight it, but I think it turned out OK. Better even - xUHOHx and TRUUBLE. hehehehehh.... I AM curious, however....how did you get FORDGASM passed by 'em?

When I called the lady (who remembered me and my LKEITWET plate on my H2 over 3 years ago ) she told me that they have to "initially" reject any plate that may be in question.

Having said that, she also told me that if you send in a letter giving an explanation as to why you want the plate, they would put it in front of a review board.

I think there is a fine line between what the DMV can allow and our freedom of speech.... so I'm not really sure how much they can allow/deny.

Don't ask, I have no idea. That one went through without a hitch. When it arrived, I literally was like

I just came back from Phil Wicks driving school about a half hour ago and was hoping the plate would have come in the mail....

No such luck, not quite.... when I called last week after receiving the registration but not the plate, I was told it was still at the "plate manufacturing plant".

Wouldn't it be much easier to say prison?

I thought of another cute plate:

Ps & Qs -- as in "watching my Ps & Qs."

For those not familiar with the origination of this phrase: Ps & Qs means watching out for yourself. It also stands for "Pints & Quarts"...as in the drinking kind! (In England, i believe) The story goes that in a pub, one must watch one's pints & quarts, so that no one sloshes you. I was told the story started back in the Industrial Revolution era, but hey...it applies.

Gnigel gets a nametag

Hi all! I've had my 2002 BRG Cooper for almost a year. I adopted him from an awesome couple who were his first family. I have a secret obsession with garden gnomes, thus the silent "g" in Gnigel. I ordered his plates last Thursday, and maybe by the time they show up I will learn how to post pictures

On a related note, I saw the funniest MINI license plate a couple of years ago. It was being towed behind an RV in Texas on its way to Louisiana, and the plate said "IPUSHRV." It still makes me laugh to think of it.

That's GREAT... probably the best plate I've read.

Put in the order for my R3D DWRF plates (it's a British sci-fi show: Red Dwarf) it's oddly fitting since I am now driving a NFR Clubman

The term bitchen and bit_h are not related terms and have totally different meanings. Look them up......

Just like 'Shi tzu' and S__t.

Huh - I say this because Ohio wouldn't let me get "MINIAAC" becuase it was deroggatory towards mentally ill people.
