Okey-dokey

By the way, I intentionally limited the colors in case DVLMINI wants to use it as a badge pattern.

EDIT: Geez, I have some boo-boos in that file. I have them cleaned up, but my upload space is getting tight so I will hold off putting the cleaner version until the end of the day to give everyong a chance to comment.

By the way, if you hate it, I need to know that as well. You are not going to hurt my feelings. It's all part of tossing stuff out there for scrutiny.

I like both designs!!! Great work ya'll!

On the Rosie one... I definitely vote for MINI wings on her collar.

I can't take all the credit for Rosie... there's an all female mechanic shop in Atlanta called My Favorite Mechanic... and they use Rosie...

Also, Deal's Gap has a Rosie-type on a girls' tee...

Ok ladies, I need to lose the 'chix' word as it is already in use elsewhere. I'll let you chose.

1) Lost the 'Mini Chix' phrase completely
2) Change 'Chix' to 'Chicks' (or some other spelling.
3) Change it to _____ (fill in the blank)

I'll have that done today as well, so please disregard the current phrasing.

You just need to decide:
1. Wings on the colllar button?
2. Text? What?

I can offer it in silver metallic and several MINI matching colors.
I like this and will go ahead with it.
I like the MINI wings. Maybe they would show up better if you made it a patch on her sleeve, like on Mrs. Skurvy's T-shirt. I don't necessarily think it needs text, but it could work with the right phrase.

Skuzzy, I like the badge, but it seems that there is a lot going on and I completely overlooked the wings on first glance. I don't really know what to suggest to make them stand out more, because you also want to keep the UJ visable.

Hmm, I'm not sure about the wording, since some don't care for the "chick" term. Maybe "Grrrls" or "Femmes"?

"Mini Grrrls...we love our curves!" <curvy road featured prominently> Maybe?

Like I said, I can lose (lost,..oy!) it as well.

I can work on making the wings stand out more. I have an idea for that anyway.

If you lose the reference to girls then it just becomes another everyday badge & the whole point was to have a girls badge ehhh?

No color limit over here.

I print using two processes.
1. Like Todds Mods--either on white vinyl or mettalic vinyl (or any other color). There is no limit on number of colors, but if you notice...they can't print white ink on metallic. That's a whole nuther $20,000 machine and it only prints white on clear.
2. Using another machine that can print metallic ink (very nice) on white vinyl so you can have white and shiny silver in the same badge. I can print any number of colors but 4 is a good number to keep the costs down.
White doesn't count as a color.

I like your design. Be careful about making things too small like the checks, they don't show up well at that size.

Doesn't the "wings" text remind you of a feminine hygene (sp?) product?

Would the drawing be alittle clearer? I know what it is, but what about having it in the colors she is in the drawing? That may be cool...or is that copyright infringement?
It can be in the colors. I think Rosie is so old she's in the public domain.
It would be much clearer...that was my first pass.

Ok, that changes the game a bit if I have no color restrictions. I presume gradients should still be avoided as they have a tendency to be banded in print. I am going from old school type setters.

Yes, I do not care for the checks right now. The new design I will post this afternoon does it very differently.

The text came from attempting to show confidence. As a man, it would not occur to me about the feminine hygiene thing. I'll work on some other text references and post thiem later.

Excellent feedback! Keep it up ladies!

Yeah..the gradients would print okay but it's such a small canvas...well...you get it. Half tones are nice though.

I agree with Doodlez, wings on the sleeve might be better than the collar.

How about "Twisty Sisters" or similar.

Here are a coupleo f alternative phrases to wrap the design.

1) The road is our path, the horizon, our destination.
2) The wind is our compass, and our wheels turn true.
3) We have brought forth life, and will motor on.
4) You will not see me, you will know me as the wind.
5) Wind lifts me on high as I soar to the future.
6) Respect me, or I will run right over you!
7) The roads of life start with me.
8) I am your mother, fear me!

Just some thoughts.

Sorry Skuzzy, just my humble opinion, I don't care for any of those as much as the wings one. But I see a brilliant future for you in the fortune cookie writing business

That's ok too. Ok,..so maybe I need to lighten it up a bit? Just point me in the right direction and I will merrily go that way.

This stuff is too good for fortune cookies. Think Hallmark.

Honestly, this is only going to be as good as the feedback I get. I dunt(tm) need feedback in terms of art design as much as I need in the overall feeling of it. But if you are so inclined, please hammer at the art too. Whatever you feel comfortable with. You cannot hurt my feelings. I am not doing this for me.

I do stuff like this because I like to do it.

I can do that. Just remember, I would probably change the desing to match the phrase. They have to tie together or the drawing will not look right or feel right.

Great ideas so far! I am geting so excited to see what our minds are producing.

I really like the sisterhood bond kind of thing...since we really are!
Unfortunately my brain can't storm anything. I am too fried with work...of course I do deliver babies, you would think I could think of SOMETHING! I will think tonight whilst I am at work.

Oh and in case we are still thinking chicks..MINI Chix is a business and may not like using that phrasing.

YES! As a matter of fact, that's the first thing that came to mind...
