How do you split driving time between cars?

I have a 2007 Honda Accord V6. It gets driven Monday through Thursday. The MINI gets driven Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. If you have 2 vehicles, how are you splitting your drive time?

BTW, I hate driving on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

John

We have 2 MINIs, and a 2006 Honda Pilot 4x4. Sometimes I feel sorry for the Pilot, though it has no personality and I don't "identify" with it anyway. It just sits outside, covered in dirt, ready to make its weekly trip to CostCo or HomeDepot...or perhaps the rare occasion when we want to travel in one vehicle as a family instead of taking 2 MINIs (this rarely happens).

Oh, oh, oh....and there is the occassional trip to the mall or movie theater where the parking lots are packed and full of free-door-swinging-a$$hats that couldn't care less whether or not they throw open their door into a precious MINI.

We've had the Pilot for 18 months. It has 9,900 miles on it. I've had my MINI since September 10th. It's has 11500 miles on it. Any question about my preferred method of transportation?

I got 3 cars, the MINI is rarely driven, 13 months and 2,500 miles or so, under my ownership it hasn't seen rain and is garaged. I only drive it out when the weather is good and I want to have some fun .

When I got my MINI it was supposed to be my 'weekend fun car', and my Highlander would continue on as my daily driver.

That plan hasn't worked out very well... with almost 10 months of ownership Luie has over 15k mi, the Highlander just sits dusty in the garage and I bet has only got a couple hundred miles since my MINI arrived. And those miles were forced, as hubby says drive it now and then or sell it, and I want to keep it around!

My '06 MCS is my daily driver to work. I run errands on the weekend in the Classic (pending good weather). If the weather is nice, I will take the Classic to work on an occasion, but it can be a little intimidating on the highway during morning rush hour.

Top down in the wrangler on nice weekends, or in the Mini, drive the wifes old mercededs until it sells during the week and out of town for work, so I don't put the miles on the Mini, and since my clutch is giving me issues (can't get service done until next Monday) I hate driving the Merc though, it floats like a boat and is way too big for my tastes

I use my Expedition when I need to, i.e. more than 4 people and/or large loads. Otherwise, I use the MINI. If you can drive the MINI, don't see why you'd drive anything else.

my '06 MCS is used daily.
the '86 944 Turbo hasn't turned a wheel in a few years due to the modifications that are nearly finished.
the '70 240 Z is awaiting restoration (was my Dad's)

the wife uses her 325xi daily, but wants my Mini.

We took the MCS up to Saranac Lake for PCA event, but will take the BMW to Canada for the GP (it is a more comfy highway cruiser)

Mini is my primary car. Element is wife's primary car. She will sometimes take the Mini just to be fair, which is fine by me. When the MGB is someday restored, that will be a weekend car.

'85 CRX - daily 5 mile slog to work when I don't bike. I'd rather have it sit and get dirty/hit in the parking lot
'04 MINI - fun and utility car when I don't need to pick up something dirty
'92 Miata - fun car when I don't need to carry any more than the blankets wifey insists on carrying to keep her warm (though I did manage two cases of wine last week...)

I'm walking or riding the bike to work a lot... otherwise it's an old '92 Saturn that gets driven. Makes driving the cooper on the weekends special but can make for a very long week.

During top down weather the MINI spends a lot of garage time and the MX-5 gets most of the attention. This week though, the MINI was used a bit more due to certain circumstances and I remembered how much fun it can be to drive. Still, today it sits at home in the dark anxious to get out and stretch its legs. It will probably sit there for awhile before it gets out again. Other than the weather, it's just a matter of which fun car I want to drive on a given day.

I have 3 cars...an '03 MC, an '06 MCS and an '06 Hyundai Sonata. The Sonata is basically my wife's car and we use it as the shopping car, too. I split my time in the MINIs by just taking the MC [rare color] to carshows and to my club meeting once a month. The MCS occasionally goes to carshows, too as well as to the monthly club meeting, but it is actually now my daily driver. I also do HPDEs with it.

We too have three cars: My wife's 06 MCS is a daily driver, but her commute is about 10 miles round trip so it doesn't get lots of miles. . occassional weekend trips of 300 to 600 miles. My daily driver is an 05 Magnum with a 340 HP HEMI. . . and I put about 35000 a year on it . . it is just over 45000 now. And my 77 Mini 1000 classic gets a lot of good weather driving / anytime is good in Chicago / and I put about 2000 t0 2500 miles a year on it. . . it is the most uncomfortable and the most fun . . .don't have to slow down for corners.

Is that due to the suspension or the hp?

Lately, I've been averaging about 4 days a week driving the classic to work. It's hard to argue with 45-50mpg when the MINI is lucky to make 20.
Who needs AC in a Las Vegas summer?

Chili MINI get used about 75% of the time or when more than two passengers are required. My "other car" is a 1969 MGB raodster

My "other, other car" is a '73 VW bug, used very occasionally because of a bug in the electrical system I haven't been able to trace down.

Small cars run (or not) in our familiy.

I have too many cars!

My '03 MCS Works has become my daily driver (I've only had it a month) because it's the most fun.

My wife drives her Audi allroad about 5k a year.

I have a '98 Lexus ES 300 that was my daily driver but is now for sale.

I have an '05 Tundra that's my company truck for big errands and company work.

I have a '69 Jaguar XK-E that I restored from the gound up that since I've bought the MINI rarely gets driven.

You have "corners" in Illinois? Doesn't everything go N/S or E/W with 90 deg corners in between? You really need to get to the hills of western PA/eastern OH/WV !!!

I miss my original Rabbit, almost as tossable as the Classic, and definitely as noisy.

My MCS is a daily, wifes Cabrio is her daily, and the Odyssey is the Mini/Cabrio Support Vehicle, used when capacity or stealth is necessary. I love them all, but differently. The VTEC Ody is fun when it comes to out-accelerating bass-thumping Civics (on a track, naturally ), that sucker hits 60 in well under 8 seconds... well... when the kids aren't in the back...
