Im taking my 06 MC with 3800 miles into the dealer on Tuesday as the IPOD interface connection jarred loose while driving on the DC Beltway (horrible road surface). Anyway, Im going to ask them to check the fluids and a few other things that have been slightly bothering me(most likely they will tell me its nothing ) Anyway, any suggestions on what else I should have them look at???? Is there anything that needs tightening up? If the IPOD rattled loose, what else might be??? Im also thinking of asking them to just do an oil change while they are at it.

If they do an oil change, don't be surprised if they refuse to do so or charge you full price; it isn't covered under warranty until 10,000 miles.

I'm surprised that your iPod interface was jarred loose; chances are very probable that the tech didn't push the connector from the stereo to the interface unit tightly enough.

Have you been checking your fluids regularly? Do any of the fluids seem low?

 

They'll likely do a full check anyway, just to make sure, but unless you've got issues or symptoms... don't worry too much - it's not good for you!

 

Im prepared to pay for the oil change. No worries there. And thats exactly what I thought about the IPOD. As far as the fluids, I checked my oil the other day. Its not quite up to the full line, so its low. Its seems a bit discolored as well. I will let them be the judge I guess.

 

Are you willing to spend $100 for the oil change?
