Anybody follow F1? Especially this year. Schumacher retires, Alonso pulls out a last ditch win. Oh, too good. Me and a buddy want to go to Canada next year for the Canadian GP. I used to watch when it was on but something bit me this year and now I'm addicted.

A few specs for those not in the know:
1.2.4 L V8 or 3L V10
2.18-20,000 RPM
3.0-150 in 5 seconds
4.200-0 in 4
5.Enough braking ability to pull the moisture off of your eyeballs and splatter it on your visor at full brake
6.Average yearly budget: 300 million
7. Faster now with less power on grooved tires than 20 years ago with more power on slicks.
8. Old school turbo cars: 1.6L V12 and 50-65lbs of boost making 1300hp

I love the scene of F1, I love the cars of F1, I love the pace cars too . If you never been to a F1 race before then YOU SHOULD GO the thing you see on the TV screen is totally different that the real thing. The sound of the F1s passing by will make the hair rise from your skin... I will add a sound clip I took while there and you'll know what I mean. I was so fortunate to be able to go to 3 F1 races and drive a F-360 Spider on Bahrain F1 track. If you can do that, then it will be the ride of your life. The ristriction added to the F1 cars made the compitition extreme, and it is always welcome . I will be going to Monaco next year to attend to the race, I couldn't do it this year because I was working like crazy .Enjoy the sound system...

Love F1. Will miss Schumacher. Went to the Canadian GP in 03 and 04.

 

Been following F1 since Jim Clark won his first championship. Went to all of the USGP West events at Long Beach before CART took over.

Was never a Senna or Schumacher fan. Alonso is probably the best driver to come along since Nigel Mansell.

 

This year was the first season I watched every race in the season (I'm normally to lazy to set the VCR or DVR). And I'm glad I did! What a great season. Now I'm hooked.

Between the 2007 F1 season and starting the 2007 autocross season in a new car, I'm in "racing withdrawls".

And did you guys see that that Playstation 3 is now available. GT4 during the off-season?

 

F1 is simply the best!!!! Not surprising, there are a lot of fans here!
