It was a terrific event though it definitely was hot. The big Group 6 wreck was an unfortunate thing though, thankfully, it looks like no one was badly hurt. I was camped out in front of the Billy Mitchell Bridge waiting for them to come around and, well, they never did. I had no idea what had happened since I was too far from a PA speaker to hear anything and there were no corner workers nearby.
Like I said in the previous post, it was my first BRIC and I was impressed. The Friday night race car concours in town was a lot of fun, too. The crowd was huge.
Definitely lots of MINIs in attendance. I talked to Peter Egan of Road & Track and, while he was telling me how much he likes his MINI, two other people came up saying they own MINIs, too.
I have some shots up here.
