Skid Plate? Yea or Nay?
Skid Plate? Yea or Nay?
Climbing those gators, not to mention running over someone else's piece of their car, give me pause to consider the merits of a skid plate for a dedicated track car. The thought of cracking the oil pan or severing a coolant or power steering hose while at speed makes me think about one. Anyone have an opinion? Do they tend to raise operating temps? Minor inconvenience for maintenance?
You have to drop it to do oil changes... But it can save you when you hit something on the road it can save your MINI and the bottom of the engine.
We had people saved with the rennline one on rocks and bigs chunks of ice
Most people that are lowered have one.
