+1 to what he said. The suggested springs are the optional JCW red springs which need to be matched to the VIN of your car. Adjustable shocks, such as the Konis, will help to dial in some oversteer.

Add to that the lightest wheels you can find with a 42 ET (think that was part of the earlier discussion), a Schroth Quickfit harness (sometimes can be found used on the NAM marketplace) and a set of Hawk HP Plus brake pads up front.

I am not sure about changing suspension bushings, but the stock ones on the front lower control arms are crap. At least get them replaced with new stock ones (Poly are probably not allowed in DS).

 

Old thread, but what wheel and tire size would you guys recommend for track days in a 2012 JCW? I can run whatever I want with what I'm doing.

 

Smallest diameter wheel size you're going to be able to run is 16 inch due to the size of the front brake calipers. Even then, you might need to research that size since some won't clear. Easier to go with 17 inch since there will be more selection in wheels and tires. Any OEM wheel can do the job but lighter wheels are better than heavier ones. And you don't have to break the bank either if you want to upgrade from OEM for lightness. The Advanti Storm S1 and Sparco Assetto Gara are good budget choices. A little more expensive are Enkei wheels, like the PF01 and RPF1. After that and more expensive, you're looking at O.Z. wheels like Alleggerita and Ultraleggera. Racing Dynamics is also a good choice but they are often back-ordered from the UK.

As for tire size, 215/45R17 will fit with no rubbing as long as the wheels are close-ish to OEM offset. You may be able to fit 225/45R17 but you may get some rubbing when considering wheel offset and suspension setup.
