Yakima or Thule rail attachments?

Anyone who has already gotten their Countryman discovered which Thule or Yakima parts will attach to the factory rails? I am a skier/snowboarder, biker, kayaker...will be one of the first things I will need to do and any help would be appreciated as my ALL4 should be to Oregon by the 3rd week of January.

I checked at a local bike shop about a fit kit for Thule and he said he hadn't received the new catalog yet. I said I had been on their site and couldn't find anything for '11 cars. I've never had a factory rail system so this is new to me. I have the fit kit for my '03 and it attaches to the drip moulding.
I'm to call Thule on Tuesday, when they open, to see if they have an idea when they would start working on a kit.

Any luck on this with Thule yet? I was hoping to get some ski and bike carriers for my new countryman when it arrives later this year. I was prepared to go with Thule towers but if they will fit on the stock mini bars then perhaps that is probably the way to go.

no luck yet. When my ALL4 comes in in 2 weeks, I will take it straight to the Rack Attack shop in Portland, OR where they have both Yakima and Thule set ups and see if any of the BMW boot fit the low profile rails.

You're right about the Thule feet. The Yakima railgrab says that it fits flush and raised rails, I'll probably be trying these as I already have a bunch of Yakima stuff but the CM rails just look to small to even fit the Yakima rail grabs. I really don't care for the factory available cross rails let alone fitting any Yakima or Thule stuff to them.

I put the factory rails on the car this weekend. I still need to attach the snowboard/ski attachment. As far as the rails there is no wind noise on the highway at 70-75mph, I am pleased!

The OEM Mini roof rack is made by Thule (they're the aero bars) so any of those attachments will work.

I figured it was Thule. I have the aero bars, all I need are the foot kit.

Anyone know which Thule foot kit fits the rails on the Countryman? I have a connection with Thule if I know part numbers.

You will need to call them as they are not showing on their site.

How about some closeup shots of the load bars. From that shot they don't look like my Thule Aero bars.

Nope, that's true! They aren't Aero bars. These are square. Special made for Mini and BMW.

I'll try to take a pic of the mini bars tomorrow.

I was hoping I could fit a Yakima box next to a snowboard holder, it came up about 1 inch too narrow to fit them both. I will have to see systems Yakima and Thule will offer

I want the mini aero feet that allow me to go with longer bars that extend beyond the roof line so that I can have my Thule roof top box and then a bike carrier on each side. I will hit Rack Attack after I pick up the car in a couple of weeks and see what they have to say.

Got an email from my MA today and she said she spoke to the parts manager. He said that if they were made by Thule or Yakima he would know.

Countryman Rear Mounted Bike Rack

I got the rear mounted bike rack for my Countryman today. My MA's were nice enough to put it on for me. Must remember...bike rack in back, bike rack in back. Here are a couple of pics, collapsed with no bike.

Very nice. How hard to attach and detach? Wouldn't want to leave it installed all the time as I'm sure I would crush it against something or worse And how much?
