Will the extended warranty cover these pads?

Pads of any type, including OEM are a wear item and I've never seen them covered under warranty.

What 7/100K Warranty? It's 4/50K for bumper-to-bumper and 3/36K for no-cost maintenance. You can extend the no-cost maintenance to 6/100K but that's not standard.

I keep forgetting that we get that in the US since I bought my MINI and my M3 in Germany through military sales and we don't get that until we get back to the states.

You can get a 7/100 extended warranty (not service program), I'm pretty sure that doesn't cover wear items like brake pads. They're covered under the service plan, and I'd be surprised if they covered 3rd party pads.

Through MINI or your dealership? There isn't anything about a 7/100 mentioned anywhere on the MINI site.

Anyone have the reds and any feedback for street use?

I had my 09 JCW in for an oil change and apparently my right rear pad is wearing unevenly due to a stuck piston? I'm hoping the dealer will at least fix the piston under warranty, but not expecting them to replace the pad, which leaves me hunting for a replacement pad.

I don't do any autox, and the OEM pads are more than plenty for me. Less dust would be nice. So I think the reds might fit the bill?

We've had several customers get the Red JCW pads and have said they were very happy with them.

Personally, I feel they're a step backwards. They do dust less and the initial bite is ok but after that the OEMs seem to stop shorter an have better feel. I'm goog to pull mine and try the yellows. I don't really eat to go back to OEM but I will if the yellows aren't as good as OEM.

Interesting. Is this even for street driving, or just on the track?

Even on the street I feel like after the initial bite I have to press harder to get the car to stop like it did on the OEM pads. I first thought I didn't bed them properly so I rebedded them twice and still am not thrilled with them. Hopefully having been in a rental Versa with a CVT for the past couple of weeks I'll be happier with them when it gets off the boat, hopefully this week. lol

So these are the JCW brakes that I have, can anyone point me in the right direction as to which pad matches up with these? Im not sure if the pads for the 09+ JCW Brembos will fit in these or not

These are the same as the 2007+ MCS brakes. Any of thosee pads will fit.

Any update?

My rear pads need replacement (due to the issue I mentioned above); well, the right one at least. I figure I'll do both rear pads and wait on the fronts until they need it.

Debating whether I want to try the redstuffs or something else...

Yes, I got divorced and needed something bigger so I'm in a Tundra now. After I got the Clubbie off the boat I was pretty happy with the braking but after a few miles I still thought the OEMs were better.

No, I needed something bigger than my MINI after my divorce but when I get another one I will.

Using yellowstuff's on my 09 JCW's. Paired up with powerslot rotors. Like the pads, no noise whatsoever, the rotors already have stress cracks. Bought pads from Way and he is first class, answered his phone when he was at lunch, what a guy. Powerslot, not so much...Solo race 2-3 weekends a month and the pads are holding up well. They do shed a bit so keep the cleaner handy. Mcguier's dust block works well too.

This may be a stupid question, but how do you replace these pads in the rears of the JCW Brembo brake kit? I have one pad in, but the other will not go in for some reason. Can anyone tell me how to do it correctly? I've got the caliper off and right here in front of me.

Thanks.
