Hi, just wondering if anyone knows what the minimum thickness of the rear rotors on a factory JCW is? All the brake specialists are saying I shouldn't get them machined, instead I need new rotors. This is my first pad change.

Hi Elie,

It is always stamped on the disc somewhere, usually near the hub, so mechanics checking brakes don't have to look it up somewhere. I don't have my car at the moment, so can't check.

Ah yes, i see it. That's something made easy by mini for a change! 8.4mm. Looks like I need new discs :(
