Noob here

Hey guys and gals I just purchased a used 2009 Astro black jcw mini
I have a couple of issues you might be able to help me with
The car came with alt a cai with red silicone hoses which look really nice,
The exhaust looks to have a large oval tip not sure if it's an alt a or not the tip has no name brand of any kind the hangers are rusting is all I know.
The other problem with the exhaust is that it drones like hell
I mean at times my rear view mirror vibrates soo much you can't see anything but vibrations! My question is should I go back to stock oem exhaust and where can I find one, or is there a after market system out there that does not drone?

I come from a E90 m3 2008 and had cai and Active autoweke complete exhaust system on that and it droned so I wanna get totally away from that problem!

My next to last question is this if you follow your steering column down to where it goes into the floor board is it or should it be a little rusty or not?
I just wanna make sure I did not buy a flooded car, although there aren't any signs of that

Now my last I was spoiled with the rigid frame and handling of the M what can I do about the fish tailing feeling I get from the rear of the mini will a after market sway bar help, and or adding also a front strut brace like an M7 type

Thx again guys I had posted earlier on in the day but was not successful

Post some pics of the exhaust and maybe someone can help. Alta exhaust has been known to Drone quite a bit. The factory JCW doesn't drone.

A hotchkis H-sport 19mm REAR sway bar will help balance out the car. if there is an aftermarket 22mm bar in the car now, this could give you over steer and cause the back end to come around in hard cornering.

Definetly get a Hsport rear swaybar as your first suspension/handling mod.

As for the exhaust, the stock JCW is pretty good, otherwise the NM eng exhaust is good too.

Welcome to NAM.
You can go to Youtube and search for NM exhaust videos. There are quite a few and you can compare to some of the other exhaust videos. It's not as good as real life, obviously, but you can get an idea.
I'm going with NM when I get the time and cash.
