Does a 2009 JCW Need a Oil Catch Can?

What I don't understand is that this has been going on for some time and why hasn't mini fixed the problem and installed these catch cans to solve the problem. Jut my thought.

They kind of did fix the problem with the N18 engines, they changed the head and now they have variable valve timing on both the intake and exhaust cams. At certain RPM the intake and exhaust valves are open at the same time helping to burn off the deposits from the intake valves. an oil catch can is not as effective on newer N18 engines.
