Ordered 2nd JCW HT!!!

First one was a 2009 BRG/Redwood Red loaded that is in a few older threads that I leased and I missed it so much that I needed to order another one. New order is in my sig and I just could not resist this new color combo. I'm going to buy this one because my commute has me driving about 85 miles a day from NJ to CT and back. Many mods are planned as well. Suggestions are welcome.

Welcome back Al. Looking fwd to seeing you in a JCW again.

Old pics... my JCW has zero mods in these pics. Then again I only had it for a few days.

Just to get your blood a going a bit, take a look at my delivery this past Saturday:

Take a look at my signature, and you will find also, no sunroof. No need, didn't use one when I had one and as a friend of mine said, why put 200 lbs. where it does absolutely no good. Thos with sunroof, if you use them great, just not my cup of tea. Enjoy!

Sunroof does add weight, but nowhere near 200 lbs, people who have actually weighed their cars here have determined it to be in the 40-60 lb range, but definitely not in a good place (high up on the car.) I didn't order one for my next one either, mostly because it gets little use, and even with tinting, those crappy shades don't do much for Texas heat in the summer.

We did weigh them. And a glass shop verfied my claims. Two glass units is what makes up the weight as well as the mounting units. Don't want to argue, but this is what we found. That was one of the reasons I left that off my option sheet, as well as the leaking problems many have. Don't need the grief. Whatever....

I could see the sunroof unit itself weighing about 200 lbs. but you then have to subtract the metal and plastic that is there in its place when you have a car with no sunroof to calculate the difference.

I'm referring to people here who have actually weighed their similarly optioned cars (with and without sunroofs). You would feel 200 lbs in acceleration and braking and I've never heard anyone claim that. It is universally accepted that adding weight to the top of the car doesn't help handling, i.e. low polar moment of intertia.
