The bumper itself seems to be unchanged. However, it looks like they've gone to the Clubman style with backup light only on one side because they can't transfer the combo backup/fog lights from the regular 2011 bumper (won't fit).

rkw: your eyes are better than mine, it took me a while to catch where they put the back up light. I'll bet that it's really effective there. When I back up at night, I want as much light as possible. This won't work for me.

It appears to me that there aren't any differences between the late last years JCW Aero Pakage, and this. Of course there was quite a change then with the addition of the brake air ducts.

@hemisedan....im very glad that i didnt wait anymore for the 2011s when i got mine a month ago with the jcw2 bodykit. the car looks exactly the same outside except for the led tails, and im not a fan of an all-black interior in a small car. the red roof doesnt affect me since i have a chili red jcw.

As they say, to each their own. Glad that you are happy with your JCW Aero unit. As for me, I can't go the extra $3500 and I do like the red roof that mine will have. And, I thoroughly will enjoy the upgraded ***** and get rid of the silver stuff. That's the one thing that I never liked about the Mini interior. If they would have kept it, I would have had some paint work done. Anyway, all Minis, and especially the JCW's are great.

Bruno: I can't seem to open up the picture that you sent here now. Don't know what happened. Could you, if you have them, send a 3/4 rear and a 3/4 front picture to my e-mail not here? hemisedan@yahoo.com

Personally, I do like the JCW Aero package alot, but then again, I also really like what Mini has done to the standard package too. What would really be cool to me, is to keep the standard bumpers, but use the JCW Aero side skirts. It'd be interesting.

Either way, I think that I'm going to like this car and keep this one for a while.

what threw me about the second-gen aero kits is the way the body color fromt he side skirts and bumper sneak UNDER the wheel aprons. If you don't paint the aprons, that's a really noticeable irregularity. Over time, I grew not to mind it so much, but I LOVED my first-gen aero on my 06 MCS and it felt like the new aero kits were less aggressive and cohesively designed.

At this point, seems S model and JCW drivers have to use the new JCW aero kit and the previous one is only for base model Coops now... thanks to those brake ducts.
