2011 JCW pictures
Supposedly, it will be on site by Friay, Sept. 10th. But then again,k it was suppose to be up and running by Sept. 1st, then by last Friday and now they say Sept. 10th. Probably, most of the reason for the delay, is that the 2011 Models received quite a refresh and they want to get rid of as many 2010's before they start the 2011 model push.
That's my opinion, at least. There are many dealers out there that do have quite an inventory left, yet.

Ferrariman: All you have to do is configure on the 2010 figures, add $550. if you get the Cold Package, and the exterior auto dimming mirrors by the way, are $250.
Here is the breakdown JCW is + $300
MCS is + $700
The Cold Package is + $250 (rip off)
Auto dimming exterior mirror $250
/xenon Adaptive headlights + $100 on top of the Xenons
Unless there are some surprises, which I haven't been told about and I have talked with four different dealerships. Three of them, I had more information that they have. The other dealership, the one that I am dealing with, said that I was right on with my figures. So, for the JCW add $550 if you have the Cold Weather Package included. If you are dealing on the MCS, then add $950. I'm not privy to many of the options that are available for the MCS as I have been working with the JCW.

Right, know what you mean. I had to cut a few items that I had originally thought might be interesting. But in the end, am getting more than I thought. The Convenience Package as an example. Still think that it's over priced, then the increase the Cold Package by $250 and didn't add anything. Oh yes, they added the headlight washers, which were standard on the Xenons last year. Oh well, enough griping.

I have the JCW body kit, though, and that's staying.
2011 Midnight Black with Red roof is on order now, as of 4:35 this afternoon. Stayed pretty basic, but still got the H&K sound system, Cold Weather, rear Fogs and some other items. No leather, can't afford the JCW Aero, but all the rest that I wanted.
tennisfan: If you are talking to me, yes they gave me what I thought was a very good deal.$900 off MSRP plus free Xenon's and the Adaptives which are new this year. Yes, I'm feeling rather good right now.
Madster: That's pretty fast deliver considering the build is 9/13. Four weeks, if that holds true, that's fantastic. Where do you live? Oxford England? Little humor there. I'm expecting a delivery at the end of October, or even the first part of November. When it comes, is when it comes. I think that this is the first time I have ever bought a car from a lady type salesman though.
I was shocked as well! They had initially told me we would have it at the end of October/beginning of November but once they looked at the manufacture date the MA estimated it would be delivered to us in first half of October. We're very excited for the arrival of our JCW - can't wait so the sooner the better! We live near Boston, MA.
Here I am back on NAM… it's been six years since I drilled through the threads and made my first MINI purchase. A 2004 MCS Pepper White/BLK beast.
Sadly I was rear-ended by a lady talking on her cell at over 30 miles per hour, totaled my MINI but she protected me well except for a minor back injury.
Now I'm back in the market and a 2011 JCW is going to be my choice. Any thoughts from you guys about MINI Connected and IF you think it's worth the wait?

Astropup: The Mini Connect is a great unit, it appears, but first it will work only with the Iphone. I don't have one of those, and my contract with Verizon is for another 15 months. If I had an Iphone, I believe that I'd go this route, but since not, well we ordered Lil Guy yesterday. We went with the 2011 too, and look forward to November 1st, when it should be ready for delivery. Any thoughts, anyone on where to get the protective front end bra's? My dealership won't apply them and they say that where they do have them applied is expensive. Chicago, don't you know.
There's a zillion threads about it in the General MINI and 1st Gear forums....but time from production to delivery is fairly static. Huge variances, like weeks or months, has more to do with your dealer's allotments and when they actually place your order in queue. I placed the order for my JCW just a couple of days before the dealer placed their monthly order, and drove it home just five weeks later, and that included port installation of the JCW body kit.
JCW: Delivery?

Madster: Are you still on line for that mid October delivery? I've been told that there hasn't been any USA versions of the JCW built yet, and only pre production 2011 JCW's in England. What's going on with yours? Mine has stayed the same since 9-10 when it was put onto production, but without a date or build week. Now, three weeks later and still no date. And, many that I have talked with are in the same boat, no build week or production date.
Hi Hemi! We ordered our JCW on 9/4 and the manufacture was complete on 9/13. Our MA advised us last week that it was on its way. Believe it or not, it's due into the NJ port today (9/28). The MA is expecting that we will take delivery sometime next week. It's very strange that you, and others, are not receiving production dates. I just check the order for the umpteen-hundreth time to ensure it really does say JCW and it does!
I did notice the updates on the MiniUSA owner's lounge lagged by several days. Thank goodness our MA has been emailing updates along the way. I just can't understand why you aren't receiving a scheduled build date yet. I hope you hear something soon! I'll keep you updated as well!

Madster: Hey guy, a great big Congratulations there. I hope that they got the right parts on it. Kidding!
Where are you located? Not that where you live has anything to do with it. Did you take over a dealers order spot or something like that?
I specifically asked today if Lil Guy has a production date yet? She just said that it had started production, but no date has been assigned yet, but that should come on maybe, Thursday, and to call back then. She said that the entire production, from body shop, paint shop and assembly takes about six days from start to finish. That sounded strange to me, but what am I to know. At least it sounds promising, better than it all sounded yesterday, at least.

Thanks! We did take over a dealer spot - they originally had the slot allocated for an S. So that's probably why it was slotted so quickly?!? Our dealer is Inskip in Warwick, RI and we are located abour 45 minutes outside of Boston, MA. Our experience with Inskip to date has just been fantastic. (We talked with the folks at Mini in Peabody and were so not impressed. How unprofessional is it when the business manager sits at his desk with ipod headphones stuffed in his ears. Then embarrasses his MA by nasty little comments, etc. Sorry for the digression - it was just such an unpleasant experience yet people rave about this dealership.)
Congrats to you!! Finally, yours has started production. Just think it's well on it's way and will be done before you know it!! Definitely update us as soon as you receive dates!!
