1. is there an insulation underneath the hood? mine doesnt have any.

2. is there a plastic cover underneath the engine, and tranmission? mine doesnt have any. the engine and tranny are exposed underneath.

1. No insulation under my hood. From what I've read in other threads about the stock hood scoop having a tendency to warp, maybe it would have been a good thing...
2. Sorry, haven't crawled under there to check, so I can't say for certain. But I doubt mine has any plastic shielding there either.

 

thanks for the info....ived concluded that my jcw has nothing missing from it im still curious about the triangular hood pad i see on other pic threads...
