Tow hook plug

How do you remove the tow hook plug in the JCW kit bumper. Are they press fit in the bumper ? Once taken out can you put the same one back in ?
Thanks
Jerry

Yes and yes. Use a small flat head screwdriver to pop it out. Its attached to the car with a plastic lanyard on one side. The other end is attached to the car. Kinda like your gas cap.

I use a plastic knife, first I tape around the spot with masking tape and pry very carefully so I do not damage the surrounding paint.

Isn't there a little hook tool in the tool kit to pull the plug out?

I thought that was for pulling the center cover off of the wheels so you could change the tire.
As far as the tow hook plug goes I wouldn't drive around with it just hanging there or it could blow off (in front) or beat up the paint.

Definitely don't let the cover swing around when driving.
The top tab snapped off this winter (there was an incident with the misperception of the depth of a snow bank at the side of the road... look, I don't want to talk about it! ) and it kept flapping around.
I need to replace it, in the mean time it's "secure" with some of that blue poster putty. I figured it wouldn't hurt the paint and would be removable.

I didn't try real hard to buff it out yet, but it looks pretty deep. So it may never look right.
