Has there been any documented differences between the California bound for the second-generation, especially for JCW's, in terms of performance due to regulated emissions due to C.A.R.B.? I'm purchasing a 2009 JCW Clubman from the west coast and bringing it home to rocky mountain area. Just seeing if there's any restrictive parts due to emissions control that I need to be aware of in ordering both OEM and aftermarket parts.

I bought my JCW from California, and while I don't have any documentation proving it, my car seems to be just the same as every other JCW I've seen.

I know that probably helps very little. :D I'd be surprised if there were substantial differences just to pass CARB though.

 

AFAIK all MINI's are 50-state compliant.

 

That's a good sign; wasn't hoping for too much difference, if any.
Trying to confirm if the Mini is 50-state emissions compliant without variation.

All MINIUSA cars from the factory are 50 state compliant. Many California buyers purchase from out of state dealers, then register in California with no modifications required.
