All this JCW talk helps the wait
Here is a better picture. I will post a few in another post. I lowered it to one finger in the front and about a half a finger in the back (total about 1 1/2"). There is still a rake in the level of the car. Behind the front wheels along the frame measure 5 1/2" to the ground while in front of the rear measures 6 1/2" to the ground. They are adjustable so I can adjust them up or down later if I want. I didn't need camber plates in the front as there was still a little camber left after the alignment. I have only ridden it to the car wash and back because it has been raining, but the ride is much stiffer. I would say it feels tighter all the way around. I will give a better report in a week.

Very sweet
I know you haven't gotten out to play yet (due to rain).
I would almost bet you have a "next" item on your list don't you
it never ends does it

What is the news on yours? Make sure you take pictures when you get to the dealership.

Yeah here is a before picture....

I put the R99 wheels on it because I thought the all-black was too much. The stock wheels also didn't allow enough room to clean the brake calipers. I was searching for an open style wheel that was black with a silver lip and ended up buying the R99 all silver wheels. I think these look good and allow for easy cleaning. I still may get another set with black and silver if I find the right pair. At some point I will want to get rid of the runflats. I was asked to join in on an auto-cross club and do a track day at the Portland International Raceway this month. I may take them up on that as I have have taken performance racing classes a year back. The only thing is... it looks so purdy... and there is some likelihood that you can get cone-rash from autocross. We'll see... I have the car set up to do this stuff so now will I actually do it.

They have me listed as released from liner
checked with the MA they show me being at the VDC and should go via Wagoneer trucking to OKC be here 14th but maybe the 13th or the 15th. seeing how the 14th is a Sunday
Ohhh the wait.....
I got an update today that my PW/B JCW is on the K-Line Triton Highway and due to dock at the port on June 19th!!! Can't wait as I pre traded my 2006 JCW 2 weeks ago and can't stand being Mini-less. To ease the pain I have V-maxx coilovers, M7 strut brace, Alta CAI, Black Pro race 1.2's, JCE wing, Rear light and side marker black out kit, belt line delete, PW roof stripes sat in my garage waiting to be installed. You can bet that pics will follow at every stage of the mod process.
first thing I will do will be to drive to Alta Mere and have the windows tinted.... then it's home to the garage where I have the stripes waiting to be put on...black viper type for the bonnet and boot (bumpers too) and a little bit of the same stripes in white for the front and rear parts of the roof, with checkers for the sunroof, and jcw checkers for the lower sides. oh and I have the checker mirror caps also. and a CF scoop I have to figure out how to put on...shouldn't be that hard.
After it gets here I still have to wait for them to do their add ons first...aero kit, suspension, cf dash, leather JCW steering wheel.

Father's Day:
I got a pass to join the local Porsche club and race the JCW in an all day autocross on Father's Day... hmmm I wont disclose what I decided to do.
For those of you that do not know what autocross is, here is a little summary:
1. It is usually held at a raceway, but not always.
2. Autocross is an organized event on a short track that is set up in a large parking locars classed in your group. As an example, the Mini may not be in the same class as a Mustang. They use cones to identify the track lanes and turns. The autocross track is usually not on an official raceway track.
3. Usually you will not get out of 2nd gear.
4. At the event, you can enter your car in nationally recognized classes that pit your car against other and obtain points for autocross victories and go on to national events.
5. The course usually has several challenges including different types of turns and braking conditions.
6. In an autocross day, you may get between 4 to 8 laps on the track and may have around 50 cars/participants. Each lap is timed and usually takes approximately 1 minute to complete.
7. Autocross is not a typical race... it is a timed event by car, usually with no more than two cars staggered on the track at any given time... so you are not racing anyone except the clock. No lapping or passing occurs.
8. Most drivers drive as fast as they safely can.
9. You receive a 2 second penalty for every cone you throw out of place.
10. Friendly banter is usually expected.
11. The autocross promotes your skills in performance driving.
