Who on here has test driven a new MINI (less than 1300 miles) and hit 4.5, 5 k revs while on a test drive? I know I have.

I was not going to test drive a new MINI to determine if it would be my next car and keep it under 3k while on the test drive. That's insane. I hit 5k a few times on the test drive and the car had less than 500 miles on it. The car I test drove will eventually find a permanent home with some lucky person and I highly doubt they will experience any problems because I and 100 other people reved it over 3k while test driving it while it had less than 1300 miles on it.

It's a machine. Take care of it, use it to its limits once in awhile, and dont overly abuse it and it will take care of you too.

I find it hard to heel-toe downshift properly without the sport button on. If it's off, throttle response is too sluggish.

Love the car, love the Sport button. Strange but I switch it a lot, kinda sport to go and or make noise. No sport when I am following a laird ***.

I have with a brand new Clubman loner only had 1200+ miles. Took my MCS in for service at 7:30am. At 7:40am drove the loner off the lot. 7:43am on the I-540 on ramp, 7:44am and 6 seconds hit the sport button and had the RPMs up around 5.5K RPM.. Thought about pushing it into the red but something told me not to.
