So get this guys ....

not last weekend but the weekend before I went to install the 2pc rotors by DBA and they didnt fit. Yep thats right didnt fit. They where too wide and would not fit inside the Mini/Brembo Caliper. :(

WTF!?!?!!?

So over the past week or so I have been in contact with DBA trying to get the situation worked out. They asked me to measure the current OEM rotors and I finally got around to it tonight and they came out to be:

22mm thickness vs the DBA 28mm thickness

12.4" Dia vs 12.6" Dia on the DBAs

So they e-mail me back tonight and tell me that they dont have any of the 5000 series in those sizes (which means no 2pc rotors) ...WTF!

Im so annoyed right now as this totally blows. I thought they designed these rotors for the JCW Mini, but they must have just guessed or something as I have no idea how a company can make rotors and not test fit them.

I simply can't believe this. Did you get your money back? Did they say they're going to give you a replacement set?

That sucks. I thought they where the coolest "pieces" on your car.

Well, since you did their R&D for them, when are you expecting the exchange pieces to come in?

That bites!
Do you know if Brembo has any 2 piece rotors based for their BBKs available in that size.
BTW your JCW R56 is the first one to really convince me to get one.

Nope ... they wont work and they dont have a set that will. I have been trying to get Performance Friction to build some, but they need more people that are interested.

If you want some 2pc rotors bug them:

It's a splitter off of the MINI challange car. They are very rare. Every once in a blue moon they will pop up in the market place and are gone just as fast.

I was just offered one from a member but unfortunately declined. It's cool but too low and I'd trash it before I know it.
