Factory JCW quarter mile times?
best run: 60': 2.391 14.479 @ 97.97
i'm having problems launching the car, not sure if its me, turbo lag, or traction control won't completely turn off. every time i dump the clutch, the car will bog down and then go. how long it takes the car to get up and go after the initial launch varies every time.
is the drag strip sticker than a regular street? i'm asking because if i dump the clutch at 2,500 RPM my tires will spin all through first gear, but at the track the tires won't spin at all.

Off the line the track is much stickier than the street. You have all that rubber laid down by the cars before you. How sticky depends on the track (how heavily it's used, the prep work done by the staff, and the weather). The one time I tried to launch aggressively I turned the DSC/DTC off when it was wet out and tried to burn through 1st just playing around. It acted like the DTC was still on and I think the E-Diff was fighting too hard. I haven't tried it on a dry road yet.
when its wet i can do a burnout all the way into third, though sometimes in the middle of a burnout the car will bog down. i'm guessing dtc can never actually be fully turned off?
i've also been thinking since i'm holding the rpm rather than playing with the throttle, maybe the turbo isn't spooled when i'm launching?

This is where I think the E-Diff is lacking. A real LSD would allow you to do a decent burnout without fighting with itself. For high speed cornering, the E-Diff works great and like others have said it's not a drag car, it's made for corners.
two second roll-back control ???????????
I'm wondering if the roll-back control that the computer uses to keep the car from rolling back on a hill is contributing anything to the off the line starting. It causes the brake to hold the car for two seconds and I'm not sure if there is any way to get it to not come on.
14.4 is a great time. I'm impressed.

I don't think the hill start would be much of an issue at most tracks. You shouldn't be on any noticeable slope on the line and so you should be able to stay off the brake and just on the gas/clutch. The hill start will only hold as much brake as you applied, so if you just lightly apply brakes to stage then you should not even notice it and will easily power through it (I also believe that it uses the clutch start switch to release the brakes {when you start applying clutch the brakes release} but I haven't played too much with it). I've never had the hill start prevent me from pulling out of my sloped driveway and I'm definitely not being aggressive there.
I finally dug up the clip of my old mustang on the dyno. We spun it up to 7K rpm and it managed 350whp and 450tq while is was wounded. Blown head gasket and an exhaust valve stuck closed.

I'll get the JCW on a dyno later this year (I'll be on the wrong side of the world for a bit).
