Timing belt or a timing chain ???

I was just trying to do a search but could not find any information. Does the 2009 JCW engine use a belt or a chain for engine timing? If a belt is used does it have to be replaced at 60,000 miles?

Does that include the standard engines as well?

I was wondering this same thing myself. It's good to know it has a chain.

How does one obtain a copy of the Factory Service Manuals?

All MINI engines from 2002 to ones rolling off the line right now are fitted with a timing chain.
