Not Taking Delivery
It was a JCW or a Cayman S.I saved 20k with the JCW.
Alright this is the last time I swear!
After two previous canceled orders(the first was damaged in transit) and much anticipation of the delivery of my '09 JCW R57 next month this past Friday I traveled to PA with family and returned home with a new toy(well...new to me). No it's not a MINI but almost as much fun.
I still intend to do the engine swap(for those who don't already know I have a spare '07 MCS motor and now Garrett turbo kit) with my '07 just as soon as I can source a Cooper D bonnet overseas with somewhat reasonable shipping costs. In the meantime I'll be concentrating on my new to me Cobalt Blue Cayman S with under 7k miles. The cost was significantly less than my JCW R57 would have been(over 52k) and even with the TPC Stage 1 turbo kit(420whp) I'm planning on installing I saved over 10k. After 3 MINI's since 2003 I'm certain I'll always have one in the garage.
Meanwhile I'll be keeping up with the 997T's at the track.
Here's a few pics from when I picked her up:
