I am off to my MINI Dealership tomorrow to spec out a Sept build JCW, but I have a few questions - so if anyone out there can answer them before I hit the dealership, I would appreciate it very much.

1. What is the difference between the Aerodynamic Kit (7AR) and a JCW Aero Kit? I think I want both, but only the JCW Aero Kit shows up on the MINI USA configurator. It indicates that installation is not included with the JCW Aero Kit. Can anyone give me an idea as to what to expect for installation?

2. Rear fog lamp (5AA) does not show up on configurator, it is available now or on later models?

You choose either the factory aero kit or the JCW Aero kit, but not both and the rear fogs show up for me with the configurator. I have the JCW and Rear Fogs on my CR/B JCW Looks best to me.

But beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

 

The factory aero is painted and installed at production.The JCW is installed and painted at the dealer so the paint,labor for painting and labor to install are all additional cost.The wheel arches are factory painted with the aero kit but not with the JCW aero kit.The rear fog lights are on both aero kits if you order them.I ordered the factory aero with the rear fog lights.IMO If you want a "complete" look(and no empty spaces in the toggles) get the rear fogs.

 

Thanks for the quick responses I was not aware of the painted arches with the factory aero kit vs. black with the JCW aero kit. So now I have decided to go with the JCW kit, with fog lights. (CR/B of course)!
