Center display doesn't shut off when door opens

Well, I was going to write to ask why my electronics were not turning off after I opened my door as usually happened. It seemed to stop one day, but I figured it out and just wanted to share in case anyone else has the issue.

I had brought my dog somewhere and to "fool" the seatbelt indicator, I buckled her side before she got in. I left it buckled when we got home and apparently the car doesn't shut off when it thinks someone else is in the car.

I unbuckled the seat and now everything is fine.

You probably already knew this, but just in case.

Thanks for that tidbit - sharing knowledge, even esoterica such as this factoid, is the reason why forums like this exist. And I didn't know about this "feature" either.
