R57 Top Down Window Position?
Up, its helps. And you can have a conversation with the passenger. Also you can run the heat on high and hits the floor. I have done this with the heated seats and had to top down on cool nights.
If you have the windows down you will get cross winds and it can snap down the wind deflector in the back seat, now if not windy it might be ok.

We've been leaving the windows down and having no problems, but we do keep our top speed below 70 at all times. I need the sun shade effect of a ball cap when it's bright out, and haven't lost a cap yet.
Now I'll have to try driving with windows up, to see what difference that makes. [Update: My wife says it cuts noise some, so we can hear each other talk more easily.]
Big surprise to me has been how few other convertible drivers ever have the top down, even on perfect days for it.

- Same here, word for word.
Sometimes it's a little noisy on the highway, but I typically drive with the radio off, and no passengers, so no issues. I bloody LOVE it.
Update: OK, driving with the top down and windows up was a bit quieter and cut wind some. I also liked that I could use the radio without bothering nearby drivers as much.
Today we also tried driving with the top up most of the way (partial sunroof still open) and windows up, and found that very windy, noisy and annoying. It did, however, give my wife the shade she needed on the way home from eye surgery. It was also a handy way to leave our dog in the car without worrying about it either running off or overheating. In fact, it DID worm its way out of its overlarge former harness, but was still safely in the car on our return.
In future, I expect to mostly drive with the top down, but leaving the windows up while driving or parked may also sometimes be beneficial.
