Cool North to Alaska

Anyone made a road trip from the lower 48 to Alaska? Thinking of heading to Fairbanks this summer. Can the Mini handle the roads? Anyone take a spare even with run flats? Am I crazy for considering this?

Never done it myself, but many do, and live to tell about it.

If you will be driving off pavement much, many suggest equipping yourself to deal with at least two flat tires.

Run-flats are interesting though. You could have 4 flats, and still run a little while, in theory.

You can, just get a MINI tire repair kit and also maybe a skid plate.

F56 F55 Skid plate, the rennline F55 F56 skid plate has not been tested on an F57 yet, but you could be the first one?
