Air intake difference between 2014 and 2015

I have read all that I can regarding cold air intakes and any power boasts claims but was interested in this piece anyway and had found it at a good price used. "new other"
Momentum GT Cold Air Intake System w/ Pro 5R Filter
https://afepower.com/afe-power-50-70...-pro-5r-filter

Thing is, it says it is good for 2015-2019 and I have a 2014 F56S. I know that there is a change from the b48 to the b46 but were there any physical changes between the 2014 F56s to the 2015 that would make this not fit?

Still not sure I will buy it but .. now I am curious

You can find diagrams for all of the years you mention over at realoem.com. I'd start there. If the 2014 F56 and 2015 F56 diagrams for the parts you're replacing match, the raw physical swap would be doable.

I am not personally aware of any physical intake differences between the 2014 and 2015. First I've heard of the possibility of such a thing.

Also just noticed the very page you link to contains this image, explicitly indicating 2014 is viable. While other parts of the page suggest the low cutoff for the F56 S is 2015, and while other parts of the page suggest that anything with a B46 or B48 engine that is pre-LCI will take it.

Looks to me like they have done a poor job of proofreading the page. I would again go to realoem.com to figure out whether there are physical differences -- if the factory parts are the same, replacement aftermarket parts will be the same -- but I would also contact the manufacturer of the aftermarket intake and ask them directly what the story is behind the mixed compatibility references.

Thank you again for your help! you are the grand master. I went to real oem and you were right. I checked Intake muffler and air duct intake and my car parts numbers match up to the 2015 b46. I lost the chance to buy the AFE intake but learned something and that is cool too!

If I’m not mistaken, the differences are in the MAF connection to the intake.

Lci

I thought there was "pre LCI" and then the change over happened in 2019? It makes sense for the cut off to be 2019 but I "think" the 2014 would have the same maf socket as the 2015?
