F55/F56 Obd performance chips ?
Obd performance chips ?
Old dude still learning all things mini.
Today I received my Mini **** newsletter from ECS and its offerings included "performance Chips."
Never hearing about such a thing I looked around and it seems you just plug it into the OBD port and .. Done.
Does it really work? What can you expect from it in terms of real world performance?
One chip maker said theirs was adaptive which I assume means that if you make other changes such as exhaust or intake it automatically changes mapping.
Dont know if I will be doing anything with my mini shirt if driving it but now I am curious.

I can't imagine anything that plugs into the OBD port is going to add anything unless I see proof.
Look into the NM performance module. It plugs into the boost sensor at the throttle body. Adds about 4-5 psi and bumps the power level.
