JB+ Tuner

I'm looking into getting the JB+ tuner for my 2016 Mini Cooper S and before I do was curious to know anyone else's experiences with one and if they enjoyed it, the pros/cons of it, how it worked, if it worked, and the difference it made in both mid and sport mode. From what I've read around different pages and websites this is a quick, easy install that's supposed to be a lot of fun to add but wanted to get some first hand experience if possible before spending that kind of money. Now I've had my car for a couple years and the only thing I've done so far to it is change out the factory intake for an aftermarket one and I'm looking to explore more to do with the car with a limited knowledge, learning as I go. Happy motoring!

I don't have any experience with the JB+, but I did have a Dinan Sport Module on my car for a year and it was great. It definitely made a noticeable difference. I actually still have it and am looking to sell it if you are interested.

I never had heard of that one before but it looks like it is just about the same as the JB+ plug in. I was kind of looking at the JB since I could trade that one in for the JB4 full tune kit down the line once I got a little more comfortable with tuning. I would like to know some more about tuning though if you had any tips. I know these plug ins say they are good to go once equipped but wasn't sure if there was anything else I would have to do. Not sure if you have a S model or not, but if you do, when you put it in sport mode would there be another boost gain, or is the plug in basically like driving in sport mode just in mid mode?

They all do the same thing, fool the DME into giving you 4 more lbs of boost!!

That being said, I had a JB+ on my 2017 N18 motor, and nought one for my 2019 B46 motor.

Mid mode feels like Sport, and Sport felt like SPORT SPORT!!

In Sport+ mode Its even better. you can hear the wastegate dump during upshifts, and major pops and burbles during deceleration.

Add a Sprint Booster, and you're good to go!!

Any recommendations on a good sprint booster to get or where to get it from? How is the install process?
