F55/F56 problem pairing
Got Lucky I Hope
I paired my android phone with my veepeak dongle, & my aphone to car settings - now in a couple days I'll plug-in my dongle, hit the juice & open Bimmerlink ! boy, I'm one persitant S.O.B. that's what happens when you charge me $482.82 for a battery, I'll cut your throat. I figure I can do a minimum of exposing to have Auto Zone swap my batt.s & re-prog DME in their parking lot. what I hope is that Bimmerlink will tell me if I've got an H-6 or H-7 batt. I want to price out batt.s so I know what to expect. I assume I just get in car with phone turned on, plug-in Dongle, hit ON switch once & open Bimmerlink. then I can play with all the buttons & learn sumthin . I got old & smart at the same time

Poof !
my first trip to Bimmerlink Land ! learned I got H-7. $483 from Mini just got reduced to $311 next time & $225 after that. yeh tried to re-set brake fluid warning, it did but didn't work 'cause I didn't fire the motor up. live & learn. NOW I think it did

When I picked up my '19 JCW Hardtop, my phone connected and CarPlay was working fine. After a few miles it wouldn't connect. It turned that the dealer didn't set up the MINI Connected account for my car. The cars in a dealers inventory were,at the time, setup temporarily and would end after a period of time. I took it back to the dealer and they apologized and fixed it. I have sinced purchased a '22 JCW Hardtop and reminded of my previous issue and after 3 months have had no problems. Not sure if this is applicable to your car, but just a thought.
