Hi I’m new to the group so hope I am doing this right. I just bought a 2017 Mini Cooper Hardtop. I was wanting to know if there is anyway to tell if I have remote start without using my key fob? I did try to start it that way but no luck. Thanks!

 

As far as I am aware, you cannot get remote start on any Mini

 

Plus, don't they recommend not to warm up a MINI? Start it and drive away keeping the revs down until it's warmed up. My neighbor put one in his new Toyota Rav 4. I'm thinking, buddy you have heated seats, heated steering wheel, and todays cars start heating A/C a heck of a lot quicker than cars of the past.

 

I recently explored this for one of our minis, a F55 automatic. After much research I have landed on the following products.. this kit includes the T harness required.

MINI has this as an aftersales option maybe 4-5 years ago, your car had to have specific options for it to work. Our dealership installed quite a few then MINI recalled it, don't remember why but they had to bring the cars back in to have them removed.
