Air conditioning issues

Have tried searching through the forum for this issue and it seems like there has not been any causal factors/solutions posted so here goes.
My AC has started to haphazardly turn on and off for the past few thousand miles (96k F55S). The aircon takes about 20-30 minutes to turn on and get cold after the first start of the day and it seems to turn off and on occasionally afterward. Max air button seems to make the transition quicker, but not by much. Anybody have a suggestion? The issue used to be much worse and the AC would haphazardly restart more often but I have since flushed and refilled on R134a.
